Translation of Zindagi Aur Kuch Bhi Nahi

Zindagi aur kuch bhi nahi, Teri Meri kahani hai

SHOR (1972) was not just a movie but was a hard-work of a great man Manoj Kumar.  Producer, Writer, Director, Lead Actor and Editor of this great movie was only one man Manoj Kumar.
Shor is a movie that describe the love of a father towards his son. What happens in an accident Shankar (played by Manoj Kumar) loses his wife Nanda and his son Deepak loses his voice. Shankar feels sad about it and he just want to make things right he consult a doctor so that Deepak can be cured, Shankar just wanted to listen to his son Deepak speaking again at any cost.

But doctor needs to do an operation and it requires a lot of money. Shankar works hard and earns sufficient money for the operation. To the god`s grace operation becomes successful and Deepak gets his voice again, Now Shankar wants to listen to his son, a much awaited wish that is now going to be fulfill. But doctor suggests Shankar to meet his son a day later, as per patient`s condition.
In the excitement when Shankar was in a factory ignores the safety and gets injured and due to this Shankar loses his hearing power and become deaf. And the desire to hear his son`s voice remained unfulfilled.
This song that i have chosen to share today is a song from this movie named "Ek Pyar Ka Naghma Hai". Song explains the feeling of a father to his beloved son. Manoj Kumar always makes an effort to point out things that is being ignored by the new generation. We all wish for huge things from god but god`s biggest gift is Parents, and we should respect them for the love that they give without expecting anything from us. In today's world we say its hard to get someone who can love you unconditionally but we don't consider the fact that God has given us an unconditional love in the form of Parents. Our parents works morning to evening so that we can get a better future and could live a good life, but when the time comes when we started earning and our parents gets retire from the services we start doing injustice with them we treat them as an liability. We all will become parents one day, and man reaps the fruit of his past deeds. Parents are a symbol of sacrifice, they sacrifice their wish to fulfill ours. They deserve a lot respect. So this song contains the words that our parents wants to tell us, this is the song

LYRICS
Mm mm mmm hmmmm hmm mmmm
Ek pyar ka naghama hai, maujon ki ravaani hai,   ...x2
Zindagi aur kuchh bhi nahin, teri meri kahani hai...
Ek pyar ka naghma hai, maujon ki ravani hai,
Zindagi aur kuch bhi nahi, teri meri kahani hai.

La la la la la, la la la la la..
Kuch paakar khona hai, kuch khokar paana hai
Jeevan ka matalab to, aanaa aur jaana hai
Do pal ke jeevan se, ek umr churaani hai
Zindagi aur kuchh bhi nahin, teri meri kahaani hai
Ek pyaar ka naghma hai

Tu dhaar hai nadiyaa ki, main tera kinaara hoon
Tu mera sahaara hai, main teraa sahaara hoon
Aankhon men samandar hai, aashaon ka paani hai
Zindagi aur kuchh bhi nahin, teri meri kahani hai
Ek pyaar ka naghma hai

Toofan to aana hai, aakar chale jaana hai
Baadal hai ye kuch pal kaa, chhaakar dhal jaana hai
Parachhaainyan reh jaatin, reh jaati nishani hai
Zindagi aur kuch bhi nahin, teri meri kahani hai
Ek pyaar ka naghma hai

MEANING

Its a melody of love, its a flow of happiness,
Life is nothing else, just a story of you and i,

when you achieve something, you lose something, and when you lose something you achieve something.
Life is all about coming and going away,
We have to steal an era from this very short life.
Life is nothing else, just a story of you and i.
Here in these lines you will find a strange fact of life that when you start running for your goal you left behind you friends and family, so here you lose the time that you should give to your family and friends, you uilise that time to your goals and you lose the precious moment. Also when you have a goal set and when you share you time with family you lose the time that should be given to your goal hence you achieve your goal a little later but you gain the precious memories with family.

you are the stream of river, and i am your bank/shore
You are my suppor, and i am yours,
my eyes are ocean, and teardrops are water,
life is nothing else, just a story of you and i.
Here stream of river is the child, and shore are the parents. Like river go along with shores, the same way our parents are always stays with us, in ups and down, zip or zap. And parents always stand tall in front of our problems and suppor us throughout but they say because you are in our life we are living, you are our support, and here with the example of river and shore, this thing is explained that parents are the support of children and vice versa.

Storm are natural and they will come, but storms are not permanent they have to go away.
this is a cloud of few moment that will disappear one day.
but shades and impressions remains forever.
Here storm is referred to those problem that we face in our life, but those will come and walk away, but memories and impressions that those problems gives remains forever, you could say memories and impression is used for lesson, life gives a lesson with every difficulty we face.
